Included in these minimum requirements there are basic stances, strikes, blocks, kicks, and terminology requirements that must be met.
No student shall be held back from a grading if the instructors of this club feel they meet these requirements however, this outlines the minimum requirements for each belt level and the minimum time requirements do not necessarily mean that each student will be graded within the minimum times set. To be graded within these minimum times the student shall not just be an average student, but outstanding at their present rank. Attitude and weekly workout efforts are also taken into great consideration for grading.
Brown and Black Belt evaluations:
All students will be evaluated at the St.Catharines Wado Kai Karate Club prior to recommendation to any Black Belt level.
All students will be evaluated at the SKF Headquarters at the Welland dojo prior to recommendation to any Black Belt level.
All students will do a trial run at an actual SKF Black Belt Grading prior to recommendation to any Black Belt level.
All students will organize the curriculum and teach a minimum of 4 full classes covering all basics, kata, and kumite techniques required for their own grading.
